A few days later, Toby knocked on her door:
“I hid my name. But never my feelings. Forgive me.”
She accepted.
A few months later, in front of the entire hospital, Toby proposed. She said yes. Blessing called him “dad.”
And Lisa, now director of Starlight Hospital, declared in her first speech:
“Here, no one is judged by their uniform.
We heal, we respect, we love.”
“This hospital must be a place of respect. No matter the status, every life matters.”
Showing compassion, Toby gave the rude staff a second chance.
