He was pressing against her side, trying to stop the bleeding. Someone shouted:

The former prisoner shouted for them to call an ambulance, but no one listened. Everyone judged him for his past — no one even thought that he was only trying to help. The next morning, everyone stood silently in front of his house, not knowing what to say.
