The “Hannah Montana” actress and pop music icon has never been one to shy away from spectacle. Still, her latest fashion moments prove she’s pushing her artistry — and her audience — to new extremes.
In a blaze of feathers, fishnets, and shocking sheer couture, Miley Cyrus has once again thrown the fashion world into a frenzy — this time in a theatrical, high-glamor spread for CR Fashion Book Issue 27.
Photographed by legendary visual provocateur Nick Knight, the 32-year-old singer strutted her way through three unforgettable looks. Still, it was one scandalous, body-hugging, barely-there dress that truly set social media ablaze.
The editorial opened with a surreal, almost celestial image: Cyrus, partially swaddled in enormous white feathers, casting a fierce stare straight through the lens.
Her bright red lipstick and her signature tattoos peeking out from beneath the plumage created a striking contrast of soft and savage.
In another scene-stealing shot, the actress appeared in a gilded lingerie set, complete with garter straps and fishnet stockings, her feet planted firmly in black heels. Towering white feathered wings exploded behind her in a dramatic nod to vintage Vegas showgirls — the effect is part fantasy, part femme fatale.
But the moment that had everyone talking came when Cyrus unveiled her final transformation: a daring, sheer black beaded dress that left very little to the imagination. In the instantly viral photo, Cyrus struck a dramatic pose in front of an ornate gold-framed mirror, creating multiple striking reflections.
Her makeup only added to the drama: shimmering blue eyeshadow, razor-sharp eyeliner, and her trademark vivid red lips pushed the look deep into avant-garde territory.
The only accessories? A lone necklace that kept the spotlight where it belonged — on that dress. The image screamed haute couture meets haunted dreamscape, and fans had plenty to say.
As images from the shoot circulated on Instagram, the comment section erupted with praise, confusion, and outrage.
“Embarrassing bye,” snapped one Instagrammer, summing up what some saw as a bridge too far in the name of fashion.
