The next day mom entered the school in a way that made everyone’s jaws drop. She was dressed almost like me: a strict but slightly shorter skirt, a light blouse, and the same heeled shoes. Her steps sounded confident, and it seemed like she already knew the effect she would make.
In the principal’s office, she calmly sat down across from the teacher and said:
— Tell me, please, does my outfit seem provocative to you? Does it distract you from your work? At school they said I was «not dressed according to the rules» and that I distracted the boys from studying։ But what my mother said in the office — turned everything upside down
The teacher hesitated, blushed, and barely managed to say:
— Well… no, of course not.
— Exactly, — mom replied firmly. — If it doesn’t bother you on an adult woman, then it doesn’t bother on my daughter either. At school they said I was «not dressed according to the rules» and that I distracted the boys from studying։ But what my mother said in the office — turned everything upside down
The problem is not the skirt and not the blouse.
The problem is the boys who behave as if they’re seeing a girl for the first time. Maybe it’s their upbringing that needs attention, not blaming my daughter? Silence filled the office.
I looked at my mom and understood: this was a real checkmate.
